Pete Doherty: The Libertines spoke about making a new album

Pete Doherty has told The Times that he discussed the possibility of making a new Libertines album with Carl Barat when the London rockers reformed for a one-off gig back in May.

The Babyshambles singer has made no secret of his desire to get The Libertines back together for a longer reunion tour as well as writing and recording new material but has revealed details of his discussions with Barat.

The pair talked about going back into the studio sometime next year: "We had a good couple of hours [after the show]," Doherty said. "We were up all night together. It was amazing really. I think we're gonna make a record and tour. Get The Libertines to take it to the next step, next stage."

The troubled singer also spoke about his new solo album which follow 'Grace/Wastelands' released back in March 2009. "I just see 'Grace/Wastelands 2'," Doherty told The Times said. "I think I've got a 'Harvest' [classic Neil Young album] in there. I keep getting flashes of it, even if it's just for a couple of minutes."
