Phil Spector convicted of murder

Phil Spector has been convicted with the murder of actress Lana Clarkson. The 40-year-old woman died from a gunshot wound at the legendary music producer's LA mansion back in 2003.

Spector worked with artists as diverse as the John Lennon, Ike and Tina Turner and George Harrison during an illustrious career as well as adding his trademark wall of sound to hit singles such as The Ronettes 'Be My Baby' and the Righteous Brothers 'You've Lost That Lovin Feelin'.

The jury during the retrial delivered a unanimous verdict of second degree murder which will mean that the 69-year-old Spector will now spend the rest of his life behind bars.
