Pink's teenage drugs hell

Pink has been talking about her wild years as a teenager. As a 15 year-old she had a scare when she passed out and nearly overdosed after dabbling with ecstasy, crystal meth and acid throughout her teen years.

The incident turned out to be a wake-up call for the teenager, as she explained to Shape magazine. "It wasn't to the point of going to the hospital," she said, "but I remember getting up off the floor in the morning - and that was the last time I ever touched a drug again."

That same day also turned out to be the launch-pad for her singing career. "It was also the day a DJ offered to let me sing on hip-hop night," she recalled. "His only caveat was that I couldn't do drugs, so I didn't. That's the thing with me - once I make up my mind, I'm done."

The singer has a slightly more respectable choice of intoxicant these days. She has taken an interest in wine appreciation, describing herself as a "wino". "I'm taking online classes to learn about different grapes. My dream is to own a winery."

New album, The Truth About Love, features collaborations with Lily Allen and Eminem, among others. She duets with Eminem on a track called 'Here Comes The Weekend'.

Pink explained how the collaboration came about. "He said, 'Do you want to do a song with me?' 'F**k yeah!' I said, 'Do you want to do a song with me?' and he said, 'F**k yeah!' Handshake. Nothing signed. Done."
