Pixies play secret London gig

The Pixies played a secret gig in London last night at the Village Underground in Shoreditch. The Indie rock legends played a 13-song set to about 300 lucky punters to promote the release of their Minotaur box set.

Before you go pulling your hair out for missing the chance of a lifetime to see the Pixies play an intimate gig, attendance was sadly by invite only. There had been rumours that Frank Black & Co. would be playing, but the NME reports that the crowd were left guessing until 9pm when a black curtain in the corner of the venue dropped to reveal the four band members.

Amongst the liggers and wannabes in attendance were the Klaxons' Jamie Reynolds and James Righton, Libertine Carl Barat, Faris Badwan from the Horrors and rock royalty Kevin Shields from My Bloody Valentine.
