Robbie Williams says ‘no’ to Take That NYE show

Robbie Williams has pulled out of a planned £2 million New Year’s Eve show for record label bosses, citing that he has ‘family commitments.’

The hitmaker rejoined Take That for their latest best-selling album, Progress, and will perform with the group during their 2011 tour. It will be Take That’s first performances with the original line-up since Williams left back in 1995.

The band were all set to chime in the New Year with a massive concert in Barbados as part of a private party for record label bosses at Universal.

But Williams has confirmed he won’t be joining the boys at the sunkist extravanza. His spokesperson told the Mail On Sunday, ‘He has prior family commitments. As far as I know he's fine.’

With the concert only for music biz big wigs, it’s perhaps excusable for Robs to want some ‘me time’ on NYE, but it’ll be interesting to watch out in the New Year for any more premadonna antics from him.
