See you in 15 years?

Great news for hair metal fans: Guns N’ Roses have started work on their latest album. Given that the gap between the last too was 15 years, you would be forgiven for setting your alarm for 2025, when most Roses fans will most likely be having their first prostate examinations, but they promised that you won’t have to wait that long this time.

Guitarist DJ Ashba revealed in an interview with RockItOutBlog.com that the band are in the early stages of writing, and that they have a load of new ideas for the record. Presumably that means big guitar riffs and Axl Rose wailing a lot, but with a slightly different rhythm section.

‘We're talking about that right now,’ he said. ‘We've been throwing around a bunch of ideas and it should be good.

‘We've got a lot of good stuff on the plate coming out. It won't take as long – I promise. I'm excited to get this next one rolling. Axl has a lot of good shit up his sleeves, so I'm really excited about it.
