Stevie Wonder confirmed for Glasto

U2 were confirmed to play what now seems like months ago; Muse couldn't wait any longer and announced themselves as playing soon after, and finally we know who the 3rd headliner for this year's Glastonbury Festival will be....Mr Stevie Wonder.

Since the last sodden reveller stumbled through the gates of Glasto last year, all sorts of names have been banded around with regards to the all important final Pyramid Stage spot: Fleetwood Mac (if only, but unlikely), Led Zeppelin (ditto) and Dizzee Rascal (bonkers!) were all in the reported frame, as was Aussie half-pinter Kylie and sandpaper busker Bob Dylan. But talking at the Event Production Show in London today, organiser Michael Eavis let slip the good news.

So, the 40th Anniversary of Glastonbury Festival will take place on Worthy Farm from June 23rd-27th. U2 will headline the Friday night, Muse the Saturday and Stevie Wonder the Sunday. Not bad eh? Now all you have to do is get yourself a ticket, which may prove tricky considering - it’s long since been sold out....
