Formed in Manchester in 1991, Oasis is one of the most iconic Britpop bands of the 90’s. This group went on to create a record setting debut album titled Definitely Maybe 3 years later and sold 86,000 copies in the first week.
In total this group released 7 studio albums, 29 singles 36 music videos and have sold in total an estimated 77 million records worldwide making them, according to the Guinness World Records, as being “the most successful act in the uK between 1995 and 2005”.
Unfortunately in 2009, tension between two brothers in the band, Liam and Noel Gallagher, peaked and resulted in Liam quitting right before their gig at Rock on Seine Festival in Paris. They went their separate ways with Noel creating his own band, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and Liam and the rest of the band creating Beady Eye which disbanded late last year.
They reportedly settled their differences though at a family wedding in Ireland earlier last year with reuniting rumors floating around. There are talks about a lucrative 2016 comeback UK arena tour.
An unnamed source told The Mirror “It’s early days in terms of the details, but Noel and Liam are back on good terms and ready to give things another go. Nothing is signed but it’s what you might call a gentlemen’s agreement between them.” While it is never too good to get ones hopes up, it may be safe to say that they may definitely maybe be getting back together.
