The Killers and Coldplay to play War Child gig together

The Killers and Coldplay have announced plans to play an intimate gig together in London on February 18 at the Shepards Bush Empire. The NME reports that the concert will be in aid of the War Child charity with both bands playing sets of just 45 minutes.

Tickets for the show will be distributed through a lottery system via the website Warchildheroes.com. Fans can register for the draw up until February 3. Speaking about the event Coldplay underlined their commitment to supporting War Child: "In our eyes, War Child is one of the world's most important charities, and The Killers are one of our favourite bands, so playing this concert is an absolute pleasure for us."

The Killers were also gushing in their praise of Chris Martin & Co: "Coldplay were one of the bands that gave us hope when we were just four boys in a garage. To share the stage with them for the War Child cause is an honour."
