The Specials reform and tour

It’s time to dust off those skank moves rude boys, The Specials have confirmed they are to reunite for a special 2009 tour.

Talking to the NME, frontman for the Coventry boggling leg-ends Terry Hall confirmed that the original members, Neville Staple, Sir Horace Gentleman, Roddy Radiation, Lynval Golding and John Bradbury would be joining him for their 30th anniversary shows;

"It's the right time to do it - we talked about it at 25 but we weren't together enough. Now we're all getting on and it feels comfortable again," said Hall.

The bad news is founder member Jerry Dammers will not be joining his old band mates, although Hall said "The door remains open to him.” Fingers crossed skanksters.

Tickets on sale at 9am (GMT) on December 11. Tour dates are;

Newcastle Academy (April 22)

Sheffield Academy (23)

Birmingham Academy (25, 26)

Glasgow Academy (28)
