Thome Yorke added to Latitude bill

Latitude was already looking to be the worthy music journo's choice of festival this year, what with the like of Grace Jones, Pet Shop Boys and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds gracing the Suffolk countryside with their presence.

But it's set to go into thick-rimmed glasses overdrive now that Radiohead's Thom Yorke has added himself to the festival bill, which takes place between 16-19 July, playing a Sunday lunchtime slot. It's bound to be full of beardy chin stroking, and laughs aplenty.

'That it is a special one off performance for Latitude only fills me with enormous pride at the statement it makes about the festival,' said Melvin Benn, organiser of Latitude. 'I am overjoyed at the thought of it.'
