Maybe it’s hard to believe, or maybe it’s not, but Bob Dylan has never played a gig in China. Well, until yesterday (6 April) he hadn’t.

Proving that the communist regime of China is relaxing, the legendary poet played a 2 hour greatest hits set to 5,000 locals at the Workers Gymnasium in Beijing. The pre-approved set-list included classics ‘Like A Rolling Stone, ‘It’s All Over Now Baby Blue’ and ‘Tangled Up In Blue’, but authorities denied him a chance to play his most famous of protest songs ‘The Times They Are A-Changin’.
