Now that Twitter is firmly in the public consciousness you’d think that it’s users would be fully-up to speed on how the actually thing works. This doesn’t seem to be the case for Katy Perry and Calvin Harris though, who decided to take a private debate into the public domain. Guys? Anyone can read your Tweets...thankfully!

Anyway, Calvin was lined-up to be the support act for Katy on her UK & Ireland tour but has pulled out at the last minute because he was told he wouldn't perform without his stage production (a laptop???). The bickering started when Katy announced on Twitter that Calvin ‘will NOT be joining in on the fun [at their Dublin show 28 Match] and has CANCELLED last minute’.

Calvin was quick to make his side of the story heard and responded with a ‘Sorry to all who wanted to see me with Katy - her team suddenly moved the goalposts, and I was to appear on stage with no production. It would have looked s---, sounded s--- -- trust me you would have been more disappointed SEEING the show than u are with me cancelling.’

Then Perry, threw her toys out the pram with a ‘...Funny the goal post seems to be perfectly fine for New Young Pony Club, Yelle, Robyn, Marina And The Diamonds to name a few. Or how bout Janelle Monae and her 16-piece band... Etc... it's fine, I'm used to you canceling on me, it's become ur staple!’

Ah, just what Twitter was made for.
