UK Charts

It’s hard to believe but in a 35 year career AC/DC have never released a best of album. However, in some bizarre Hollywood tie-in the legendary rock stalwarts scored a UK number one album last night with a sort of best of compilation.

Instead of releasing the conventional compilation of songs to see out the 6th album of a 6 album deal with their record company, AC/DC gave the thumbs up for their songs to be used on the forthcoming movie Iron Man 2. It's the Official Soundtrack to that film that has helped them beat Paul Weller’s album ‘Wake Up The Nation’ to the top spot.

In the singles chart – as predicted after riding high in the midweeks X-Factor reject Diana Vickers’ debut single ‘Once’ stayed on to secure her first official number one.
