UK Charts

If you had a look at the UK singles and album chart today you’d be forgiven for thinking that it looks exactly the same as last week's rundowns. Last week, Eminem’s 6th studio album ‘Recovery’ bounced its way to the top spot and Katy Perry’s new single ‘California Girls’ reared its pretty head at the summit of the single chart. And now they’ve made it for a second week.

Apart from Scissor Sister’s latest album ‘Nightwork’ going in at No.3 both charts have virtually no movers, shakers or climbers. The most intriguing development comes in the form of the acts who played last weekend’s Glastonbury festival, with Stevie Wonder’s best of, Gorillaz’ ‘Plastic Beach’ and Muse’s ‘The Resistance’ all seeing a huge boost in sales thanks to their headline sets.
