UK Charts

The British public can be a fickle mistress: one day you're on top of the world, king of the coop, Top Cat, Ace Face, and the next you're a nobody; nothing but a pointless bum. Fingers crossed that fate is waiting for the dreadful Olly Murs, who went straight in at number one with his new single 'Heart Skips A Beat'. Obviously it was all down to the Rizzle Kick's bounteous talent. The young 'un even managed to keep Calvin Harris off the top spot.

In the album charts two reality show veterans Will Young and Joe McElderry slammed straight into the top two spots, with Young pipping his more youthful rival with 'Echoes'. And what of last week's star, Nero? Well they're slipping down the charts like an oiled eel; such is the fickle hand of public opinion.
