Who had the first UK number 1 of 2010 will no doubt be a staple question to any pub quiz this year and the prestigous accolade has gone to Lady Gaga and her stomping pop ditty ‘Bad Romance’.

Thanks to people power through social networking sites Facebook and Twitter Rage Against The Machine’s 'Killing In The Name’ scooped the Christmas No.1 beating off X-Factor champ Joe McElderry, but to no surprise only managed to hold the top spot for one week with Simon Cowell’s protégé securing the last No.1 of 2009. But it was Lady Gaga who started her year with a bang regaining a number one last night (3 Dec), her third UK number one.
