What's the fuss about?

Ian Hamrick, the little ginger kid who has his head blown off in the latest M.I.A video for ‘Born Free’ has spoken up about the slightly odd controversy that has surrounded it, with YouTube removing it due to the extremely graphic content on display.

During the video ginger children are rounded up by police, driven out into the country in an armour-protected van before being shot or made to run through a minefield. Twelve year old Hamrick, who has his brains blown out during the flick, has stepped into to defend M.I.A, saying that the video has an anti-violence message, something that should be obvious to anyone who watches it.

‘I think she was trying to show violence to end violence,’ he told Tmz.com. ‘The video is definitely not for kids – I haven't even seen the full video myself – but for all the adults and people in different countries who are doing that in real life... doing the genocides to whatever: Italians, Africans, wherever it's from, it's still genocide. So it's showing violence to end violence.’
