You can go to the ball

If, unlike me, you haven’t given up on the yearly internet lottery for Glastonbury tickets, you may be interested to learn that some tickets for this year’s festival may be ‘resold’, according to the event’s organisers.

Twitter watchers will have noticed that Emily Eavis directed her followers to the official Glasto website, which confirms the news about a probable resale for the festival, which sold out in October.

‘We do expect that some people who secured tickets in the first sale will choose not to pay their balance, and have their deposit refunded,’ a message on the site reads. ‘Any returned tickets will be made available in a re-sale.’

As for the question of when that might happen, the site continued: ‘We don’t know for sure yet, but April is looking likely. As soon as we know, we’ll post full info here (well in advance of the sale).’

UK festivalgoers must pay the balance on ticket deposits between April 1 and midnight April 7 in order to claim their tickets. International buyers have from February 25 until March 3.
